Voronja gallery

Estonians, in my opinion are famous also for their great thoughts. Raul and Kaili dreamed about the place in Varjna, a small old-believers village in southeastern Estonia. Here it is, the Vorojna gallery. Offering exhibitions, a chance to chill in their garden, participate in workshops, stay at their artist apartment etc.

Plus on top of all things, they also offer an excellent venue for big size art installations, as this one.

Cakes

These were the last two cakes I bought in 2013 from Tartu store, as it was closing down for good. Not the most attractive looking, but they taste excellent. It is fading art such cakes on these days, but I like how perfect they look. My photography kind of sucks, so sorry I can't forward you the best look of the cakes. I had better ones, I swear....

Calm vol. 85

This is at my grandparents house. They both are long gone, but the sweet memories remain with me until I am long gone. The clock and the wall cloth. I used to stare it for many days and hours while laying in that bed. It is a mystical forest with a mystical design. I have to ask mother more about of the history of the wall cloth. The clock was my moms favorite and because of that she has one at her home too :)

This is a detail of a building, where the 1980 Olympic yachting competitions were held. This is a pretty cool and very Soviet looking establishment. I didn't have much time to take photos of the the whole building, but this should give you a nice glimpse of the building.

Welcome to Narva to the border town between Estonia and Russia. The time stands still at the railway station, but the passport control looks very European quality. Real life!

Profile

The heartbeats of the streets in Viljandi Old Town are in direct connection with the soundscapes created by Profile. Tranquility, the void and organicity are three main aspects bestowing inspiration. Just as with brothers and sisters, whose mutual relationships may be utterly complicated, yet the word of their love and togetherness still prevails. Using minimum measures in gaining maximum impact is not the sole purpose, it however creates a firm foothold for the course of a certain Weltanschauung.

Saxophone player

We went to visit the orchestra of Eller Music School. I caught this photo of a young saxophone player who was waiting for his turn to perform at the practise. Didn't get to speak with him, so this is a candid photo.

Flower chafer

Flower chafers are a group of scarab beetles, comprising the subfamily Cetoniinae. Many species are diurnal and visit flowers for pollen and nectar, or to browse on the petals. Some species also feed on fruit. The group is also called fruit and flower chafers, flower beetles and flower scarabs. There are around 4,000 species, many of them still undescribed.

I noticed this scarab beetle in Hiiumaa, last summer. Due to macro lens it was possible for me to get quite close and get a close-up of the back of the beetle.

Went to the nature path with my friends and captured these three yellow scenes.

Haven't really posted night-club photos for long. I had this nice set of three together. These were taken in Club Tallinn, which no longer exists anymore. It was a cool venue to take photos, not because of the people, but because of the venue, as I always got my light there very pleasant.
