Beatrice

A very old shot from November, 2005 which I took of her in Stockman. The camera was Canon EOS Digital Rebel and I didn't had a clue of WB, but after all this turned out pretty okay.

You see that little pink necklace she is wearing? Respect!

Few other portraits from that session to come in the future.

Viceroy

The Viceroy (Limenitis archippus) is a North American butterfly with a range from the Northwest Territories along the eastern edges of the Cascade Range and Sierra Nevada mountains, southwards into central Mexico. Its wings feature an orange and black pattern. The viceroy's wingspan is between 53 and 81 mm. It was originally believed that the Viceroy was a Batesian mimic of the three other species, and presumed edible or only mildly unpalatable to predators, but this has since proven not to be true. The Viceroy was named the state butterfly of Kentucky in 1990.

The Scarborough Bluffs

The Scarborough Bluffs (also known as The Bluffs) is an escarpment in Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Forming much of the eastern portion of Toronto's waterfront, it is located along the shoreline of Lake Ontario. At its highest point, the escarpment rises 65 metres above its foot and spans a length of 14 kilometres. It was first named in 1793. The Bluffs has been described as a "geological wonder" and a unique feature in North America. The escarpment forms the old shoreline of Glacial Lake Iroquois, formed after the last ice age, which left valuable geological records as the part of the escarpment by the lake eroded. The eroded alluvial deposits from the Bluffs then settled westward to form the Toronto Islands. (Source: wikipedia.org)

That is a weird shot, but in a way interesting, because of the sharpness playing at the border of blurriness.

Giraffe

The giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) is an African even-toed ungulate mammal, the tallest living terrestrial animal and the largest ruminant. Its binomial name refers to its camel-like face and the patches of color on its fur. It stands 5–6 m tall and has an average weight of 1,600 kg for males and 830 kg for females. The giraffe's scattered range extends from Chad in the north to South Africa in the south, and from Niger in the west to Somalia in the east. Giraffes usually inhabit savannas, grasslands, and open woodlands. Their primary food source is acacia leaves, which they can browse at heights that most other herbivores cannot reach. Giraffes are preyed on by lions, and calves are also targeted by leopards, spotted hyenas and wild dogs. The giraffe has intrigued various cultures, both ancient and modern, for its peculiar appearance, and has often been featured in paintings, books and cartoons. Source: wikipedia.org
