Urban life in Toronto

I realized that I really haven't posted a nice series about the life in the urban environment, in this case in Toronto. Of course it consist of many different things, places and events, but here is a short list through photos.

There are always numerous events indoor and outdoor, winter and summer, free and ticketed, what is there to enjoy.

Lots of people everywhere - on the streets, subways, malls, events etc. Be sure not to get lost and feel lonely.

Quite a number of homeless people and people with mental health issues. They beg, they loiter, they open you the door of Tim Hortons and expect you to tip them. Nothing new, homeless as in any other place.

Every once in a while community takes over and fights back, so you can see support marches, propaganda and other events taking place, as few years ago when Occupy movement took place in most of the cities all around the world, including Toronto.

The nicer option for you are probably parades, which take place through the year: Santa Clause parade, St. Patrick's Day parade, 420 parade, Pride parade, Caribana etc. Good chance to see things which are specific to Canadian culture and customs

Traffic. Busy. Crazy. Dirty. Loud.

What you think?
