Hare with porcupine needles on its back

While volunteering in the forest I came across to many interesting animals, birds, plants and insects, but this hare beat them all, as I saw it cleaning its fur while I could see many quills of a porcupine covering hare's back. They are impossible to get out without an extra help, so I wonder what was the destiny of this hare...
